It’s now been a month since we welcomed little Zoe May Tan Taylor into our lives, and we couldn’t be happier.  She and Mommy are both doing great, and the Village is tickled to have a beautiful new being in our midst. 

Zoe’s name has a special significance for us.  Zoe (ZOH-ee) is from the ancient Greek word meaning “life”, in celebration of the wonderful outcome of a trying pregnancy. May is a name passed from grandmother to mother and now to little Zoe.  Tan is Zoe’s other middle name, following the Filipino tradition of using Mom’s maiden name as baby’s middle name.

Ben took to his role as big brother like a fish to water!  The first time he saw her in the hospital, he went excitedly over to her, gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead, and said “I love you!”
